All lessons take place at our south Lakeland facility where we provide indoor, heated pools. Our pools are located off of Brannen Road S, near Sonny's and the SPCA. Our address is 5825 Brannen Road S
Please read more about our programs and classes on the SWIM LESSONS page of our website for more information. If you still have questions, click the link above to email us or call us at 863-808-0189.
Our pools are indoors; there is no need for sunscreen. The only item you will need to bring with you is a towel for after the lesson. You may also bring a change of clothes if you would like to change before leaving. If your child is not potty-trained, we ask that they wear a swimmer diaper under their bathing suit.
Before entering the pool area, please have your child/children do the following things:
Remove food, gum or candy from mouth
Remove all adhesive bandages
Use the restroom
Please arrive about 5 minutes before your first scheduled session.
Please be dressed and ready to get in the water prior to your lesson start time. We will spend the entire 30 minutes working on skills in the pool.
As you enter the front of the building, on the FIRST day of lessons, please fill out our waiver/release form and be seated in the waiting area. There are changing rooms, a restroom, and a water fountain for your convenience. The swim school can sometimes be a stressful place for new families. Please be considerate of others. Our instructors will most likely be in the water with a lesson when you arrive. Please be seated in the waiting room until your instructor greets you and shows you to the viewing room each day before heading to the pool with your swimmer.
We do ask that you trust us as you kiss your little one and leave them with us in the water. We have viewing rooms set up nearby, where you can see everything happening in the pools via video feed. This allows us to quickly bond with your little one and help them realize that we are there to help them. We always assure them that their parents will be back very soon.
We have found that when allowing parents to sit up close, our swimmers often have a hard time paying attention to the lesson and only look for a parent to “rescue” them. We ask that you wait in the viewing room for the first few days of lessons. As your child thrives in the lessons, your instructor may call you out in order to showcase a new skill or accomplishment. On the last day of your lessons, we will ask the parents to view the whole session up close. For younger swimmers, parents may be asked to join the instructor in the water.
Parents/responsible party must remain on site for each lesson (no matter the age of the participant) to escort children safely to and from the restroom when needed, or to be available in cases of emergencies, inclement weather, or questions.
Swim lessons will absolutely be safe! With our one-on-one lessons, we are able to commit 100% of our attention to our swimmers while we are working on new skills and teaching them to navigate the water. We have at least one lifeguard on duty at all time and our instructors are trained thoroughly.
Please note that your child may be concerned about leaving you in this new environment. Our highly trained instructors typically gain swimmer’s focus quickly by engaging them in conversation and song shortly after parting.
Keep in mind that does not mean that your child will "love" swimming right away. The first few days of lessons are tough. They will be in a NEW environment, working with a NEW person on NEW skills. That can be very overwhelming to anyone, let alone a child. Monday and Tuesday lessons usually end up in tears, but we call the third day of lessons " Way-to-go-Wednesday," because our swimmers seem to understand that lessons are going to continue, and the NEW is not new anymore.
Crying is a common element of learning to swim for most swimmers. Rest assured, we strive to keep them safe, but will continue moving forward in the lessons despite the crying.

Typically, the anxiety of performing the skill at hand is greater than the actual skill itself.
We do! However, in-home lessons are limited and are only offered in south Lakeland.
Most families, who schedule multiple swimmers, try to get their swimmers in the pool at the same time, as a time saver; however, that is not always possible. We see a lot of families with back to back lessons. There are many factors that can go into making this decision for your family, but either approach is fine with us.
We LOVE instructor requests!
If you are requesting a specific instructor, please email us the instructor’s name and let us know what dates you are interested in. From there, we will let you know what the instructor has available.
Swim Dynamic is a program designed to get swimmers swimming safely at a developmentally appropriate level. In one week, we will make great progress with your child because our lessons are very personalized and skill oriented.
We are aware that every swimmer, just as every human, develops at a different rate. Our one-on-one lessons allow our instructors to focus on your swimmer and use our swimming "tool box", choosing whatever "tool" is needed to make your child a successful swimmer. Although, there is no such thing as "drown-proofing" a child, we are confident in our training and experience and have had great success teaching little swimmers for the last 12 years!
Our goal at Swim Dynamic is to take our swimmers to a skill level that is "practicable" and then incorporate the parent into the lesson, transferring the skills to the parent for practice at home. If a parent is not comfortable practicing the skills taught, we are able to continue lessons with the swimmer upon request.
Should the weather become a problem, we will contact you within 30 minutes of your lesson time.
When lightning is within 5-6 miles, we will evacuate to safe areas. The pool will be cleared of all participants for thunder and lightning within said range and will remain clear for 30 minutes after each additional occurrence.
On days where inclement weather occurs, the decision to cancel lessons will be made up to 30 minutes before that lesson is scheduled to begin.
Any canceled lessons will result in a make-up day*
If swim lessons are taking place in the water and inclement weather occurs, there must be 20+ minutes left of the lesson for it to be moved to a makeup day
*MAKE-UP DAYS
Make-up days will be determined by Swim Dynamic and will typically fall within one week following your originally scheduled lessons.
If participants choose to not participate in the make-up day, the lesson can be rescheduled with a $13 fee.
We completely understand scheduling conflicts and sickness. We are happy to reschedule your lessons if needed. Please just let us know as soon as possible. In order to keep our schedules full, we require at least 24 hours advance notice. Any cancellation/rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation/rescheduling fee.
*unfortunately, our facility does have limitations for lessons. Due to the fact that our pools are above ground, our pools may not be a good fit for swimmers who need assistance climbing stairs, have injuries or weak joints, or if your weight exceeds the 250lbs stair case limit.
