Swim Dynamic is passionate about education and safety. We pride ourselves on classes designed to accommodate the individual. We bring a respect and love for education by balancing functional skills with confidence, through fun. We value honesty and integrity and put others first by showing compassion and respect.
Our instructors complete comprehensive training, which requires 45-50 hours of hands-on training. Our swim instructors must also receive a passing score on the SwimAmerica 4-hour online swim instructor course exam. In addition, some instructors hold additional specialized certifications for adaptive classes.
All lessons occur at our South Lakeland facility, where we provide indoor, heated pools and a climate-controlled gymnastics area. Our address is 5825 Brannen Road S, located off of Brannen Road S, near Sonny's and the SPCA.
SWIM: Our pools are indoors; there is no need for sunscreen. Please bring a towel for after the lesson. You may also bring a change of clothes if you would like to change before leaving. Goggles are strongly encouraged for children 3 and older, as they facilitate faster learning. Children 3 and under must adhere to our diapering policies. *Please see policies regarding fecal accidents. Goggles and swim diapers are available at our swim store on-site.
GYM: All Sweet Peas should wear athletic clothing with no buttons, zippers or snaps. Well fitted shorts with a shirt tucked in or a unitard style leotard may be worn. For privacy and protection of your little ones, leotards without short worn over them will not be allowed. Stomachs must be covered. No two-piece apparel will be permitted. Please do not wear frilly tutus. Sweet Peas will go barefoot, so there is no specific footwear required. Please make sure little feet are clean before entering the gym. Long hair must be pulled into a ponytail, braid, or bun. No dangling jewelry, necklaces or earrings may be worn in the gym. Please bring a water bottle for your Sweet Pea.
**Before entering the pool area or gym, please have your child/children do the following things:
Please arrive five minutes before (no earlier please) the scheduled class time. Parents must accompany children at all times while on the premises. During peak times the parking lot is crowded. Please take into consideration the safety of others and drive slowly and carefully.
There are changing rooms, restrooms and a water fountain for your convenience. Please use the check-in kiosk upon arrival. Please be considerate of others. Our instructors will most likely be in classes with a lesson when you arrive. Please be seated in the waiting room until your family is escorted to their lessons.
PARENT INTERACTIVE CLASSES: One parent/adult is required to participate in the class. Others may wait in the viewing area. SWEET PEAS AND SWIM LESSONS: For most of our lessons and classes, we ask that you kiss your little one and trust them to the care of our employees. We have a viewing area set up near the classrooms, where you can see everything happening via video feed. This allows us to quickly bond with your little one and help them realize that we are there to help them. We always assure them that their parents will be back very soon. We have found that when allowing parents to sit up close, children often have a hard time paying attention to the lesson and only look for a parent to “rescue” them. We ask that you wait in the viewing room for the entirety of the lesson. As your child thrives in the lessons, our site supervisor may discuss progress and/or showcase your child’s new skill or accomplishment.
Parents/responsible parties must remain on site for each lesson (no matter the age of the participant) to escort children safely to and from the restroom when needed, or to be available in cases of emergencies, inclement weather, or questions.
SWIM: Swim lessons will absolutely be safe! Our lessons are completely committed to our swimmers, while we are working on new skills and teaching them to navigate the water. There is always a lifeguard on site, and our instructors are professionally trained and certified. GYM: Sweet Peas Gymnastics is designed to be a safe environment, focusing on age-appropriate activities for young children certified instructors, specialized equipment to minimize injury risk, and emphasizing development in a structured, positive setting.
Please note that your child may be concerned about leaving you in this new environment. Our highly trained instructors typically gain the children’s focus quickly by engaging them in conversation and song shortly after parting. Keep in mind that this does not mean that your child will "love" their classes right away. The first few days of lessons can be overwhelming. They will be in a NEW environment, working with a NEW person on NEW skills. That can be very overwhelming to anyone, let alone a child. Typically, the anxiety of performing the skill at hand is greater than the actual skill itself. We promise to comfort and care for your child as they acclimate to all of these new things.
Should the weather become a problem, we will contact you within 30 minutes of your lesson time. SWIM: If swim lessons are taking place in the water and inclement weather occurs, there must be 15 minutes left of the lesson for it to be rescheduled. *See WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLASS IS MISSED for reschedule and cancellation policy.
If your child is sick, please let us know with as much advance notice as possible. We ask that you keep your little one out of lessons until they are fever-free, and/or vomit and diarrhea-free for at least 24 hours. *See WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLASS IS MISSED for reschedule and cancellation policy.
ALL lessons and classes at Swim Dynamic require 24-hour notice for rescheduling and/or cancellation (including sickness). With proper notice, excused absences AND lessons cancelled by Swim Dynamic (due to unforeseen circumstances) will be issued a makeup token. Excused absences are limited to one makeup token per month. Makeup tokens for weekly recurring lessons will expire at the end of each calendar year or upon the last day of class once a drop date is entered. Without proper notice, families can either forfeit the lesson/class or schedule to attend a designated makeup class (see fees below). SWIM: Makeup tokens for kickstarts must be used within 30 days.
Without proper notice, families can either forfeit the lesson/class or schedule to attend a designated makeup class (see fees on your family policies).
SWIM: Because our pools are above ground, our pools may not be a good fit for swimmers who need assistance climbing stairs, have injuries or weak joints, or whose weight exceeds the 250lb staircase limit.

SWIM: We offer instruction in a variety of styles at Swim Dynamic. From our Parent Interactive class to adult lessons AND everything in between, we offer a broad knowledge of swimming, water safety, and survival skills, as well as stroke development using the SwimAmerica curriculum. We also work with swimmers to conquer fears and calm anxiety regarding the water. From breath control to butterfly, our lessons progress through a series of detailed skills that create well-rounded swimmers with a life-saving, life-long enjoyment of the water. GYM: At Sweet Peas Gymnastics, your child will learn fundamental gymnastics skills such as balance, coordination, rolls, and beam work, alongside crucial cognitive and social skills like colors, counting, sequencing, self-awareness, and friendship, all through fun, age-appropriate activities that promote brain development, confidence, and well-being in a structured yet playful environment.

That being said, YOU are the primary safety provider for your child in any setting. During lessons, handing that role over to our instructors may seem difficult. Rest assured that all of our instructors are trained and certified to fill that role during your child’s experience with us. At our facility, you are an observer and along with your child, you are a student. Take in everything you see and hear. You will be able to use this information as you work with your child in the water following completion of their lessons.

We’re excited to share that renovations of our building have begun!
During this time families may wait in the front seating area or in their cars and return at the end of the lesson. Please note that a caregiver must remain on site at all times during lessons.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete these improvements.
